The German Mezzosoprano Roswitha Müller began her studies at the Conservatory of Karlsruhe in voice with Prof. Christiane Hampe. After graduation she left for Basel to further her studies at the Conservatory under Kurt Widmer. She received the scholarship of the Markelstiftung Stuttgart and gratuated in 1995 with the soloistdiplom. Since 1996 she works privately with Margreet Honig Amsterdam.

Roswitha Müller won several competitions so the 1. price of the Yamaha-Europe-Foundation in 1994 and a price of the Kiefer-Hablitzel-Stiftung, Bern.

On concertstage Miss Müller appears frequently with European Conductors and Oratorio choirs, focussing on the work of Bach, so with the Freiburger Kantorei at the Frankfurter Alte Oper, with Christmas Oratorio, with the Limburgs Symphonie Orkest under Ed Spanjaard with St.Matthew- and St.Johns-Passion, with the Tonhalleorchester Zürich with Hermann Suters "Le laudi" and with the Ensemble for ancient music "musica rara" in Milano.

Roswitha Müller got also reputation as an interpret of contemporary music. She performed in several world premieres, so in "Plainte 2" of Klaus Huber at the Tage für Neue Musik Zürich, and "cammina, cammina" of the young composer Andrea Scatazzini.
 
In Opera she has performed at the Lucerne theatre in Monteverdis 8. Madrigalbuch under Hans Martin Linde and Wolfgang Rihms "Jakob Lenz" at the renowned Lucerne Festival. She also sang Ottavia in "L' Incoronazione di Poppea" with the Ensemble "Cosifacciamo" Munich at the 'kleinen Szene der Semperoper Dresden'. She participated in a production of "Le Nozze di Figaro" as Cherubino at the European opera Festival in Brussels and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. In Bern and Neuchatel she performed in Händel’s Alcina as Bradamante. As an active recitalist, Roswitha Müller has performed Lieder-programs at the DRS Studio Zürich, in Vienna, at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and in Milan with the pianists Kelvin Grout, Hans Adolfsen, Gérard Wyss and Arnold Bosman.
