For the edition VIOLIN SOLO, which presents the music for violin solo from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present, Renate Eggebrecht has now recorded the two Suiten from 1958 by Ernest Bloch (dedicated to Yehudi Menuhin), the Élégie (1944) by Igor Stravinsky (in memoriam to the violinist Alphonse Onnou), followed by the 4 Caprices from 1968 by Grażyna Bacewicz and the Sonata-Monologue (1975) by Aram Khatchaturyan, which is dedicated to the violinist Victor Pikaizen.
The violinist Renate Eggebrecht concludes the program with the sonata a Paganini (1982) by Alfred Schnittke.
