For the edition VIOLIN SOLO, which presents the music for violin solo from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present, Renate Eggebrecht has now produced the two Suiten from 1958 by Ernest Bloch (dedicated to Yehudi Menuhin), the Élégie (1944) by Igor Stravinsky (in memoriam to the violinist Alphonse Onnou), followed by the 4 Capricen from 1968 by Grażyna Bacewicz and the Sonata-Monologue (1975) by Aram Khatchaturyan, which is dedicated to the violinist Victor Pikaizen. The violinist Renate Eggebrecht concludes the program with the sonata a Paganini (1982) by Alfred Schnittke.
"In her recordings Renate Eggebrecht, drawing on her extensive repertoire knowledge, fine taste, and readiness to take artistic risks, has repeatedly produced discographic mixtures that are explosive in many a respect." EH 2007
TROUBADISC will publish this solo recital of Renate Eggebrecht in hybrid Super Audio / Stereo format. This intense, thrilling release will be available October 2008.
